The View I See Everyday with My Classroom

by Woojae Hong

When I see Downtown Vancouver, I feel better and comfortable. I become as comfortable as I am lying down on my bed with my pajamas. I used to look at downtown when I was sick of things as homework. Actually, downtown looks like a garden to me. In a garden, there are many kinds of flowers and trees as there are many kinds of stores in Downtown Vancouver. I feel like relaxed when I see Downtown Vancouver. At night, Downtown Vancouver is like a Christmas tree. All lights of buildings are on and they look very small. I like to watch downtown at night. In Vancouver Canada, I am here alone without my family. The view of Downtown Vancouver became a habit that helps me to stand on. At the afternoon, Downtown Vancouver is like a place that I can’t go, but I want to go. I’ve got some works to do for classes. On the other hand, I want to go to downtown and hang out with my friends. Downtown has variety of feeling to each single person. Therefore, Downtown Vancouver is kind of special places to people live in Vancouver Canada.

The View From My Window
by Edward Zhang

Outside the window from the classroom I see the heart of Vancouver. There have a lot of building near the ocean and in the other side of the ocean. Every time when I see that place, it will make me think my home, because my home city Shanghai is as same as Vancouver. Since, Shanghai has two Downtown-Easts and west, between those two towns there are big river we called that “Huang Pu River”. However, in Vancouver between Downtown and North Vancouver is an ocean. And I also feel the Vancouver’s weather is better then Shanghai because I can see a pack in side Vancouver Downtown, but I can’t find any packs from Shanghai. Although, Shanghai is trying to change but it still need time, I think long times ago Shanghai will be change, but Vancouver always better than Shanghai, because all about time.
My Sky
by Yeong seon Joo (Sunny)

Through the window, I can see the sky. It’s always there and makes me feel very comfortable. It always changes shape and color. Actually, the sky has no shape but clouds form many designs that make it seem as though the sky changes its shape. These clouds are the artists of the sky. I love seeing clouds. They create shapes like long ropes of cotton, laying down on the mountains, cylindrical sausages, magical carpets and herds of fluffy sheep. They all decorate the sky beautifully. The colors make harmony with the clouds: light blue, dark blue, fiery red, butterfly yellow, royal purple, and warm orange. It’s gorgeous but friendly. Sometimes it is deep like a lake and sometimes shallow like a small pond. My sky is like a picture which is painted slowly; when the sun’s direction changes, its color changes as well. Clouds are scattered all over. The sky reflects my feelings. My sky is always there when I want consolation. The sky that I look at is my sky.

The View From My Window
by Selia Fong

I stood before the window of my classroom of BodWell High School .I was staring at the outside. The clouds were lying in the blue sky, waiting for the wind to blow them away. Once in a while, there were birds singing a song, spreading their wings and hovering in the blue sky. The coastline rose to my view as a gorgeous cutting of the North Shore and Vancouver Downtown. Numerous skyscrapers stood erectly at the other side of the sea. Sea buses shuttled back and forth, sending people from either side to the other. Some container ships filled with containers such as a group of building blocks. “Kong, Kong…!” I closed my eyes quietly and listened carefully, enjoying the melody of laboring. A fitful breeze blew away my tiredness. What a fantastic picture! I closed the window and walked away with endless pleasure.

The View From My Window

Bodwell high school and Downtown are separated by the sea. I often sit beside the window, because I enjoy looking at the scenery of Downtown through the window. Vancouver’s weather is changeable, like a colorful painting that always moves. That is why I can often see dark clouds in the sky of North Vancouver, but at the same time in Downtown, the sky is blue with white clouds. This kind of scenery often surprises me .Also, I like to see the sea when I am not happy, regardless of the changeable weather; the scenery of the sea can change so that it makes me feel better, and I always can see the sea buses going farther and farther away on the water. It looks like that they are helping lead people to a right direction. There are some cargo ships berthing at the shore. However, I can see many high rise buildings in Downtown and also the significant symbol of Vancouver----Vancouver Plaza. Whenever I look through the window to see this view, feel the wind, breathe the fresh air, and listen to the sounds from the nurture. I feel relaxes and calm. Therefore, I like this pleasant feeling when every time I watch this beautiful picturesque scenery through the window.

My School Has the Best View
by Marika Kasahara

At Bodwell High School, you can see two views from different sides. One side shows us a few big mountains which are very beautiful. But I prefer more the other side. We can see downtown from the side. There are so many buildings. All of them are very unique. I can see the downtown as a very quiet place from school windows but actually it’s not because downtown is a place that very busy and many people goes to there. Also, when we see downtown from our classrooms windows, I can see ocean and other naturals. This is why it’s looks very interesting. Sometimes we can even look sea animals. I like to g downtown with my friends. I am glad that our school built in a beautiful place.

My Description about Downtown
by Kevin Kim

When I saw downtown I feel was amazing because it’s makes me imagine that described of downtown. If I see downtown I can see too many of buildings its makes imagine building forests. And the ocean makes downtown more beautiful and especially if people see night view of downtown, it makes more beautiful and some people would imagine that night carnival. And the morning, it changed night carnival to looks like NY city. Many highest building covered city, the ocean covered around downtown, and the sound of ships makes good creation between downtown, and many of seabirds flying around ocean and the sound their shouting makes me feel comfortable like resting at the heaven. Therefore, The Vancouver downtown makes me many descriptions when I see, I’m really happy to live near downtown.

Downtown Vancouver
By Hyun Jung son

When I look at the downtown in the school it looks very small toy and Lego. It feels like I can reach the buildings if I stretch my arm. It is like buildings in the story so it makes me as a child who is imaginative and ecstatic. In the night the buildings are bright. If I see the buildings in downtown in the night the buildings are brilliant. In the night it’s like a monster who glares at me. The buildings have different shape and different color and they are like pride them selves. Sometimes if many stars on the sky and watch the downtown, it is like a picture that draw with crayon. When I look at the downtown there is sea between our school and downtown. It doesn’t look so deep. It looks kind of jelly so if I run on the sea, I will slide on the sea. Therefore I can feel that I can run across the ocean so reach to the downtown. It is only view of downtown but if I look at the nature different way, I can imagine something interesting. Even it is jus tree or mountain we can think deeper. Our school can see the view of downtown with the sea. Sometimes I think it is just sea and buildings, but I can see and say different things about the view.

An Exciting View to Vancouver Downtown
By: Daniela Murguia

When I am looking out of my classroom’s window to downtown, I can see that everything seems so calm and quiet, but I know it is not. I see the sea bus navigating, and taking people to their destination, little birds singing and drinking water from the clear, fresh ocean, and some ships doing their job transportating materials and fabricating them. But looking the other way around, I can also see the natural part; I see trees and plants doing nothing, but moving in the same direction as the wind goes. The sand close to the ocean is doing the same, just moving around. People are walking with their dogs, listening music and chewing gum, but some of them are running though! Finally, the downtown area, where big huge buildings like chocolate bars are able to see, I can just imagine all the chaos over there, and all the people going here to there like little insects, cars going fast and people riding their bicycles. How fun it is to compare things that
contrast each other.

The View From My School Window

We all have different views from our school windows and these can tell people a lot about about where people work and live. Produce a piece of writing describing what you see from your school window.
